To improve accuracy in numerical results of determining the drag coefficient for an axisymmetric boat tail model at the supersonic speeds, the paper adjusts the k–? SST turbulence model. The numerical method is modified by refining the a1 and ?* turbulence model parameters for the different Mach numbers. The adjusted k–? SST turbulence model allows reducing the error in numerical results by 0.06…0.22% compared to the experimental data obtained at the Mach number of 1.2…2.5. The results were confirmed using the 130-mm projectile model.
