Peculiar features of power loading and self-retardation of inverse involute gearings with external engagement

The article analyzes the power loading of inverse cylindrical self-retarding gears (CSG) with external involute engagement. The self-retardation of inverse CSG with external engagement in a traction mode of a forward stroke and in an retardation mode has been investigated. It is shown that the retardation in inverse gears is always feasible.
