Formation process of an optical rod which is described by system ofquasilinear differential partial equations of the first order is considered. The integration of a stationary variant of these equations was fulfilled on the basis of a Runge-Kutta method with a variable pitch. The received solutions of the stationary problem have allowed to determine zone configuration of rod shaping in the given conditions.
