In article the new method of search designing of converters of energy in which basis lays graph model of a physical principle of the action, based on the thermodynamic description of processes of mutual transformation of kinds of energy is described. The example of reception of set of technical decisions of the diesel engine from sets functionally-compatiblly alternatives is considered.
