Moineau pumps are widely used in many industrial processes due to their structural simplicity and high performance. One of the main trends in the development of this type of pumps is the implementation of conical actuating elements. The main problem when changing from a plane geometry to a spherical one is that the conjugate generating lines either do not contact or intersect each other when the generating cone rolls without slipping over the base cone. Algorithms for calculating conjugate generating profiles have been developed. These algorithms formed the basis for creating an example model to demonstrate the fundamental possibility of implementing conical screw gerotor devices.
