This article describes principles of calculation of threshold stability of a rotor on fluid-film bearings in conditions of lubrication by cryogenic liquids and by possible two-phase steam-liquid lubricant. Numerical results defining influence of phase transitions in a lubricant on threshold stability of a rotor are presented. Possibility of application of obtained results to problems of rotor dynamics of cryogenic turbomachines is discussed.
