The problems of the influence of erosive wear during the operation of turbomachines are considered, in particular centrifugal compressors at gas booster stations, where erosive wear of components and assemblies of the flow path is encountered. It has been revealed that erosion has a particularly significant effect on impellers. It has been determined that the gradual wear of impellers leads to a deterioration of compressor performance and also affects the durability and reliability of the entire system as a whole, which makes the study of the erosion process especially relevant. A review of the development of mathematical models of the erosive wear process is carried out, and the main dependencies are presented. In addition, a review of publications on the topic of erosive wear of turbochargers is performed. The sequence of modeling erosive wear in turbomachines is presented, and the impellers of centrifugal compressors subjected to erosive wear are investigated. The obtained results made it possible to identify the zones of the most severe damage to the impeller blade walls caused by erosive particles. Conclusions are drawn on the necessity of taking into account the influence of erosion by mechanical particles on the impellers of centrifugal compressors for a correct assessment of service life and reliability.
