To refine the mathematical model of the operating process of a dry screw vacuum pump with variable pitch (DSVP), knowledge of the temperatures of the pump’s main working elements is necessary. The mathematical model allows for predicting the characteristics of newly developed DSVPs at the design stage, reducing the time and resources required to develop new machines. The model takes into account the heat exchange between the pumped gas and the rotor and casing walls. However, only a full-scale experiment can provide the most reliable data on the working surface temperatures. In this study, a series of full-scale experiments were conducted to measure the temperatures of the DSVP’s working elements under various operating conditions. The obtained data are of significant practical interest and were also used to refine and verify the calculations performed in the mathematical model.
