The technological process of manufacturing parts of complex geometric shapes is characterized by high labor intensity of mechanical processing and low coefficient of material utilization, and, consequently, high cost of the resulting product. This is largely due to the fact that graded material is used as blanks for parts. As a solution to the voiced problem, it is proposed to obtain blanks by 3D printing. The advantages of using 3D printing as a method for manufacturing blanks for parts of complex shapes in small-scale production are shown.
