To improve the reliability of machinery, it is not enough to engage only in the development and research of effective technological processes for hardening machine parts. It is necessary to introduce innovative technologies at enterprises and improve the level of training of engineering and technical specialists involved in the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment of domestic and foreign production. Insufficient reliability of machines leads to a decrease in the efficiency of enterprises as a result of forced downtime of equipment and the need for its replacement or repair. Theoretical research and practical developments carried out in the field of electromechanical processing of external and internal threads make it possible to increase the wear resistance, scuff resistance, strength and fatigue life of machine parts and technological equipment of oil companies. This paper presents the results of research on increasing the durability of the housings of electric centrifugal pumps made of 22GYU steel by strengthening the internal thread M93?2 by electromechanical treatment. The results of the conducted research, the developed and manufactured equipment, and the proven technology of electromechanical thread hardening can be used by manufacturers in the manufacture of housings for electric centrifugal pumps.
