The higher engineering education system in France — a view from

A short history of development of higher education institutes in France is given. Peculiarities of the French engineering curriculum are considered in comparison with the Russian analogue. It is pointed out that the French engineering curriculum is divided into two years of a preparation course with a technical bias and three years of the higher engineering education. It is mentioned that French higher education institutes have a negative attitude to the Bologna declaration that looks like a reason why the quality of engineer diplomas can be blown.
