A new mathematical model for a controlled electric drive of the thermal protection system is offered in this article. The behavior of such system is described by a set of two coupled ordinary differential equations with discontinuous right-hand sides. We also developed an algorithm for an analysis of periodic motion stability. Under variation of the amplifier gain we locate the borderline of stability. We revealed that the loose of stability leads to oscillations on doubling frequency and found the chaotic oscillations appearing at the large values of the amplifier gain.
