The considered dependencies to deforming the snow from normal load, resistance of the snow shift and his friction characteristic. Dependency is received for determination of the submersion of the cylindrical stamp in snow cover. Four types of the snow are offered for estimation of the possibilities of the machines. Importance of specific power of friction are received for carbon and alloy steel, duralumin, ftoroplast.
