The research objective is to develop a calculation algorithm by the finite element method of an elastic zigzag element of the suspension system consisting of polymeric composite materials. The calculation of an elastic element was carried out in order to determine its strength and life time. The maximum stresses in the construction have been received, the life time of the construction has been defined. The algorithm can be used when calculating constructions from other polymeric composite materials. On the basis of the received data it is possible to carry out further researches with the use of similar polymeric materials for the purpose of predicting the life time.
