Model of Flow through a Two Inlets Turbine for Numerical Computation of Wave Processes in Engines

The mathematical model of a turbine stage with non-stationary gas flows at two inlets is proposed. The model uses characteristics of the turbine obtained under steady-state conditions with identical flows at inlets. The losses associated with the partial supply of gas to the stage are modeled as perfect mixing of certain parts of the two flows. The model is applicable for numerical simulation of a pulsating flow in a piston engine containing such a turbine. The given version of the model is valid for a flow through the turbine stage that is placed at the connection of lengthy pipes. The model has been implemented for ALLBEA package.
