The article studies the layouts and parameters of the gas turbine units (GTU) for 'small' power engineering which should work in the broad power range. The advantage of multishaft blocked units with intercooling in the compression process, reheating in the expansion process and heat regeneration has been demonstrated. High performance of such units is obtained at relatively low thermodynamic parameters and remains the same at the part load regimes as the result of connecting of the alternatingcurrent electric generator shaft, which has constant rotation frequency, to the high pressure shaft of GTU.
