On the base of theory of working processes in the internal combustion engines and analysis of experimental data about a character of mechanical losses the relations connecting mechanical losses with rotation of the crankshaft are deduced. The formula permitting directly to evaluate a change of mechanical losses on experimental idle characteristic of an engine is obtained.
