One of the principal causes of a contour rolling mill stopping is component deterioration of the work roll balance mechanism, namely, deterioration of bronze sleeves and rubber-fabric seals. The analysis of published research data displays absence of any engineering design procedure as for resource of operation of hydraulics-and pneumatic systems of a «plunger-plug» type. Therefore in this article we attempted to estimate a turnaround time of hydraulic actuators on the basis of mathematical model of deterioration process of sliding couplers («plunger-bronze sleeve», «plunger-condensation»).
