Features of carburet ion process in diesel engines with nondivided and semi-divided combustion chambers are examined. Designs of the pistons providing ordered air motion in the combustion chamber of a dies el engine are offered. The experimental researches which have confirmed efficiency of their use for decrease in fuel consumption and smoking of exhaust gases of a transport diesel engine are given.
