Results of theoretic-experimental researches of cutting tools wear process and coverings with predicted adaptation of friction surfaces on the basis of thermodynamics of nonequilibrium processes are resulted. Ways of increase of the cutting tool wear resistance and productivity machining processing by cutting are offered.
