The article considers the problem of taking into account the industrial uncertainty factors to be urgent when calculating the required machinery quantity. Possible uncertainties and their influence on the equipment configuration have been analyzed. A new approach and mathematical technique as well as an example of machinery quantity calculation have been presented.
