The article deals with the geometrical surface roughness created by cylindrical conventional milling and climb milling of planes, convex and concave surfaces. The surface roughness height in the cylindrical conventional milling is smaller then in the climb milling, it is also smaller in milling of convex surfaces. Such results are explained by the form of a cutting"edge trajectory.
