The article considers a relationship between the tap destruction torque and the threading torque, which magnitude depends on the tool wear. The relationship between the maximum permissible wear value and the taps destruction torque has been established. The taps wear value depends on the tool geometric parameters and operating conditions being a limitation of taps working capacity.
