Study of Changes in the Angle of Bending During Roll Forming of Channel Bars of Different Types and Sizes under Different Profiling Modes

The article examines the process of roll forming of two types of channel bars with different sizes of flanges. The blank is a metal strip of 4 mm thick. The study has been carried out by mathematical modeling in the Ls-Dyna program. Based on the simulation results the function of changes in the angle of bending of flanges beyond the area of contact deformation has been determined. The obtained functions are compared with the experimental data described in the literature. A good agreement between the simulation results and the experimental data allowed to use modeling to obtain new data.
