Estimation of technological possibilities of branch pipes welding on bottoms of rocket-space products by friction stir welding

The article considers the problems arising from the friction stir welding of circular welds and features of welding branch pipes on bottoms of rocketspace products. The perspective apparatus for friction stir welding has been chosen and on its basis a solid model with CATIA software suite is created. The geometrical adjectives, i.e. the material thickness, the weld radius are set as parameters in the mathematical model of the friction stir welding of branch pipe in bottoms. As a result the ultimate (maximum) height and diameter of the weld in branch pipe have been obtained.
