The method for radiographic examination of solids of revolution with a small bore system in parts by backtofront intersecting beams of radiation from the inner cavity is optimized to the geometry of examination according to the rules of geometric blur. It is adapted to the effect of generation of backscattered light by fragments of the welded joints structure in the area of detection and formalized into the analytical expressions permitting to predict and select the examination parameters depending on examination conditions and exposure rate of background radiation produced by backscattered and induced radiation.
This method is implemented in the discreteswivel radiation head, providing a simultaneous release and overlap of three backtofront intersecting radiation beams.
