To calculate the rigidity and the durability of flat lever mechanisms a standard technique of application of a finite element method is used. However for spatial lever mechanisms the standard approach is not appropriate due to a number of reasons mentioned in the article. An original finite element approach to the problems of calculation of the rigidity and the durability of designs of spatial lever mechanisms is offered.
