Straight-tooth rotary pumps are a modern and efficient solution for a wide range of hydraulic systems. These devices advantageously combine simplicity of design with high performance characteristics, which allows them to be used in various industries. The article describes a new technical solution aimed at regulating the supply of a straight–tooth rotary pump using vortex hydrodiodes as distribution organs. The developed design scheme of the vortex hydrodiode allows you to adjust both the diode and the flow characteristics of the pump. As part of the study, a comprehensive calculation of the working fluid flow in the flow part of an adjustable vortex hydrodiode was performed under various control modes. The dependence of the diode flow rate on the height of the vortex chamber was obtained. The hydrodynamic processes are analyzed when the height of the vortex chamber changes in two extreme positions. The key advantage of the proposed design is the ability to smoothly adjust the flow of the working fluid. The stepless control area reaches 20% of the maximum fluid flow, which expands the range of practical applications of the device in various hydraulic systems.
