The issue of applying a method for assessing the wear resistance of paint and varnish coatings by the method of ultra-jet discrete diagnostics based on the interaction of high-speed liquid jets with a movable (rotating) target is considered. The result of the implementation of the method is an assessment of the residual area of the paint coating on the target sample. The relations allowing to connect the results of the experiment with the corresponding operating time of aviation equipment in airplane hours, on the basis of civil passenger aircraft, are derived.
