The work is devoted to the topical topic of ensuring the movement of pistons with an infinite smallness of influence of the sheared for motion of the connecting rods in reciprocating internal combustion engines with an inline arrangement of rotation cylinders, where a three-link crank mechanism is used to transmit the movement of the pistons to the cranks of the crankshaft with the placement in a common plane or in parallel planes of mutually perpendicular axes of the rotary cylinders and crankshaft. The proposed method of piston movement along the surface of an oblique open helicoid in the cylinder of rotation with the exception of the uncertainty of the average clearance and interference in the conjugations during the selective assembly of cylinder liners and pistons allows for passage of a limited stroke of the piston of a normalized section of its path ensure the return of connecting rod to the state of equilibrium when rearranging of the piston at the top dead center from one cylinder wall to another, eliminates unilateral wear of the piston skirt, bending and twisting of the connecting rod, jamming of the piston with his movement in the cylinder of rotation, which occurs, among other things, due to the inevitable distortion of the shape of the cylindrical surfaces of parts in various sections and points. The angle of inclination at the top of the guide cone with skew of the piston with his movement in the cylinder of rotation with an infinite smallness of influence of the shear deformation of the connecting rod sets the direction to the side the concavity of the screw movement of the piston passing through a tangent to the screw surface of the touching plane with coplanarly placed in her by vectors of absolute velocity and absolute acceleration, by the normal to the corresponding height of the piston of the rectilinear generatrix in the moving coordinate system of the natural triangle.
