Research of bending operations in the process of forging crankshafts by means of computer simulation

The article deals with the issues of forming and distributing the fibrous structure along the cross section of the billet when preparing bending operations for subsequent forging of crankshafts. Computer simulation of the process of bending was carried out and the distribution of the fibrous structure in the workpiece after bending was revealed. The simulation results were compared with the results of physical experiments, which allowed the use of computer simulations for further study of the process.
