The article considers a numerical method and a practical experience in the field of analysis and designing of a new generation of functional and executive elements of robotic devices and drives created on the basis of thinwalled mechanical structures. The distinctive features of the examined elements involve a realization of the guided deformation principle, allowing to implement the prescribed law of motion. The results of analysis and synthesis of real designs have been investigated.
