Model of Longitudinal Travel of a Vehicle over Cross-Country Terrain

For a standard structure of a tracked vehicle, the authors have developed mathematical models that determine the current condition of the engine unit, transmission, vehicle movement along a curved line and its course angle maneuvers. Based on the abovementioned models, a differential equation of the engine acceleration characteristic has been obtained. It has been shown that the acceleration characteristic of the vehicle depends on the transmission ratio of the gear boxes for the left and right caterpillar chains.
